THE CAGE 99 ASH ST. LEWISTON, ME |
| EVERY THURSDAY! 8:00 PM |
OPEN MIC BLUES JAM! THIS MONTH'S HOST POKE CHOP Hey everyone: Well, this past Thursday turned into a pretty good night of music, fun and fellowship. Of course the Jam, sponsored by your very own Maine Blues Society, occurs EVERY Thursday night beginning at 8pm, hosted by Poke Chop and The Other White Meats.
While things are going satisfactorily we could ALWAYS stand to have more society members in attendance, both musicians AND aficionados of the blues. Not only do we try to educate folks about the blues, we encourage the participation in the blues by joining the society as well as coming out and joining in the music.
So tell your friends, tell your spouse, tell your baby-sitter, tell your teacher, tell your co-worker. The blues is alive and well and waiting for you every thursday night at The Cage, 97 Ash St. Lewiston ME.
See you soon.

The blues jam in Gray has been a huge success! We have had many blues artists that I have met and played with over the years at The Midnight Blues Club in Auburn, the Cage, and the jam in Gardiner. Tom Oconnell, Tom Perkins, Mike Wright, Matt and the Barnburners, Bob Rosenbaum, Zack Pomerleau, and many more. They have made this jam go and the owners are ecstatic! We now are playing from 3:00 to 7:00 every Sunday! Hope to see you there someday.

This is not just another blues show, but a standout event! Spearheaded by Tommy Castro and Legendary Rhythm & Blues Cruise founder, Roger Naber, it brings the energy and excitement of this decade's hottest blues ticket from the High Seas to the land! |
For years The Legendary Rhythm & Blues Cruise has set the standard as the world's only fully charted blues cruise which sets sail annually to such exotic locals as the Eastern Caribbean and the Mexican Riviera. In addition to the virtual blues festival at sea, the nightly Pro Jams have become a staple and much talked about experience for would be sea goers. Out of this nightly ritual was born the inspired beginnings of what has now become The Legendary Rhythm & Blues Revue. This dynamic collaboration of talent features Tommy Castro along with an all-star lineup that includes pianist, saxophonist, singer/songwriter Deanna Bogart, Ronnie Baker Brooks, son of legendary bluesman Lonnie Brooks, and Magic Dick, who is best known for his many years as harmonica man in the J. Geils Band. This live recording also features special guests Marcia Ball, Elvin Bishop and Curtis Salgado and spotlights many of the highlights from their recent performances including the highly regarded Legendary Rhythm & Blues Cruise founded by blues industry veteran Roger Naber.
The Tommy Castro Band is one of the most popular and compelling acts around known for their take-no-prisoners rock 'n' soul music. Tommy Castro's most recent solo release "Painkiller" peaked at #2 on the Billboard Blues Charts and was voted Bluewax album of the year! For More Info & Tour Dates: http://www.tommycastro.com/ | |

| Deanna Bogart is described by Down Beat Magazine as "an extravagant entertainer" whose triple threat abilities include her dazzling piano playing, soulful saxophone, and heart felt vocals. Deanna combines boogie-woogie, contemporary blues, country and jazz in a unique fusion of musical styles that she refers to as bluesion.
